EDUCATIONAL PHILSOPHY

Curriculum

At Miss Guta’s Busy Bees Preschool, our curriculum is lovingly created by Miss Guta to support the whole child through hands-on learning, creativity, movement, and exploration.

Our program focuses on:

  • Letters and early literacy

  • Colors and number recognition

  • Fine motor development

  • Gross motor skills and outdoor play

  • Social-emotional learning

  • Nature adventures and walking-distance field trips

  • Special celebrations, themed weeks, and holiday activities throughout the school year

We believe children learn best through play, routine, community experiences, and meaningful connections while growing into kind, happy, and confident little learners.

We believe fun environments are especially conducive to the kind of learning that prepares our students for life’s adventures.  We give children a safe and inspiring space to direct their energy, build confidence, and develop key life skills.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

At Miss Guta’s Busy Bees Preschool, our indoor space is cozy, welcoming, and designed for hands-on learning and play. Our school includes a playroom, wood room, nap room, sensory room, and art area where students learn, eat, create, and have fun throughout the day. Our circle time rug is the heart of our classroom and the hub of our daily activities together.

Our fenced outdoor area is filled with toys, outdoor learning stations, picnic tables, and plenty of room for free play and exploration. No matter the season, our students are encouraged to get outside, stay active, and enjoy nature with opportunities for running, biking, sports, water play, and playing in the snow.

We also regularly take field trips and community adventures, including hikes on local trails, visits to the Hailey Public Library, and recreation time at the Blaine County Recreation District gym. Being located near downtown Hailey allows us to fully enjoy and explore our amazing community.
